Grantham Road
The existing property is a pre war terraced house located in a very desirable area of West London. The owner wished to have a large kitchen / dining area to the rear of the property that extended the existing kitchen.
The Planning Application was originally refused for loss of light and ‘over- dominance’ to the neighbouring property. However, after the height of the extension was reduced and a report was prepared to show that the loss of light would be minimal, the Local Authority granted permission.
The flank wall that faced the neighbouring property was painted white to help to reflect as much light as possible back into the window in question. According to the neighbour the light to their window is now better than before!
"This Council originally refused approval, but after some alterations and additional reports, the Local Authority granted permission"
