Over the past 40 years Les has gained experience in a full range of duties and responsibilities whilst working for five different Building Control Authorities, achieving Chief and Principal Surveyor positions. Each authority has been different in relation to the type of work dealt with, but togeher they have provided Les with a very broad experience in which very little work would fall outside his comfort zone, and nothing outside of his ability, provided the necessary resources are available.

A.L.Ryder Ltd was created in 2005 and since then Les has worked mainly in Hampshire and Essex providing an architectural design service to both commercial and domestic clients. He has also undertaken work though the local council as Chief Building Surveyor, carrying out plan checking and site inspections, as well as offering support in his two specialist areas of Part A and Part L of the Building Regulations.

Simon spent the first 4 years of his working life with Carlton Homes,a top quality house builder that rarely built homes valued at less than £1m. As a result has an outstanding knowledge of top quality building design and construction standards. He works within the practice as a technician and once the first draft of your scheme is produced, he will work with you to develop a design that is to your complete satisfaction, and is practical to build.

Louise is the newest addition to the team and is primarily responsible for the marketing of the practice and maintaining and improving our levels of customer service. She brings with her many years of experience in the area of sales, marketing and customer care and is currently managing the re-branding of A L Ryder Ltd.
